Job description /Assistant to the Product Manager for sporting goods / China Office: You are the counterpart of the Product Manager (Europe Office) for all sports, outdoor and fitness products. You follow up the requests made by the Product Manager and support the European team for enquiries and product development. You will be involved in troubleshooting for problems that may occur in production or testing. You also support the Product Manager during China trips as facilitator. YOUR TASKS: SOURCING: - New Factories: Find and visit new factories, check standards, check samples, explain the company philosophy - Fairs: visiting different fairs across Asia, several time per year. Checking new supplier opportunities and supporting Salzburg team during the fair. SAMPLING and QC - Sampling: Check and update the given technical sheet (inquiry sheet) from Europ. Send to possible factories for checking and sample ******. Make clear documentation for for confirmation. Check quality of samples. Provide report and feedback. - Quality management: supporting QC team, explain check-lists, check products in detail with BOM and requests from Europe, checking the testing samples in factory produce documentation in detail. Technical support when needed by factory. ORDER - Order processing: supporting order processing team, check deadlines with suppliers, check the samples in factory, visit factory if there are some quality or timing problems. YOUR PROFILE: - Native Chinese speaker (other Asian language appreciated). - Good spoken and written English - Good technical know-how and understanding of steel, plastic, and soft goods. - MS office knowledge (Excel) - Experience in graphic and design programs is appreciated (illustrator or similar vector software) - Experience in the outdoor and fitness products is appreciated - Organized and structured working style - Readiness for travels to factories in Asia and to Europe for sourcing and meetings (more than 50% of time) - 5 to 10years working experience
